Privacy Policy

Mobile Space Adventures takes data seriously — especially when students are involved. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

Who we are

Mobile Space Adventures ("MSA," "we," "us") is a Texas company that brings mobile starship bridge simulations and the Mission Analysis System to schools, leadership teams, and space centers. Our contact address is [email protected].

Student data — the short version

We collect crew voice traffic and mission telemetry during a mission day for the sole purpose of producing crew performance reports. No student audio, video, or transcript data ever leaves your site. All processing happens locally on MSA equipment inside your building. No personally identifiable student information is retained by MSA after reports are delivered. Before any mission is recorded, your school or museum receives a consent packet covering what is captured, how long it is kept, when it is deleted, and who controls the data. Plain language details are in our Data Practices summary.

What we collect and why

Website visitors

We use Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-KB8GQPQC) to load analytics tools including Google Analytics 4. These tools collect standard web analytics data: pages visited, time on page, referral source, browser type, and approximate geographic location derived from IP address. No names or email addresses are collected through analytics. IP addresses are processed by Google and are not stored by MSA.

We also measure scroll depth (50% and 90% thresholds) and interactions with booking buttons and download links to understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and not tied to individuals.

Booking requests (Calendly)

When you book a Commander's Briefing or Partnership Alliance call through our Calendly integration, Calendly collects your name, email address, and any information you provide in the booking form. That data is governed by Calendly's privacy policy. MSA receives booking confirmation details to fulfill the appointment.

Contact and interest forms (Tally)

Our application and contact forms are hosted by Tally. Information you submit — name, organization, email, and any details you provide — is sent to MSA via Tally and stored in MSA's CRM. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and follow up about scheduling a mission. Tally's data handling is governed by Tally's privacy policy.

Email newsletter (Beehiiv)

If you subscribe to Field Notes, our email newsletter, your email address is stored by Beehiiv. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Beehiiv's data handling is governed by Beehiiv's privacy policy.

SMS and text messaging

Mobile Space Adventures operates a business text line at (737) 260-0362. We use it two ways.

You text us first. The number is published on our contact page. When you text it, we reply. Starting a conversation with us is your consent to receive our replies.

Booking and mission day updates. If you book a mission day and check the optional SMS consent box on our booking form, we send you scheduling confirmations, arrival times, setup requirements, and logistics updates for your engagement. That checkbox is optional and is never required to book, pay, or receive service.

We collect your mobile number, the timestamp and source of your consent, and the content of messages exchanged. We use this only to communicate with you about your inquiry or your booked engagement.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP or email [email protected] for assistance.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. We do not purchase, rent, or import phone number lists.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Our messaging is delivered through Twilio, which processes message traffic on our behalf as a service provider. Twilio's data handling is governed by Twilio's privacy policy. Full terms are in our SMS Terms and Conditions.

Payments (Stripe)

Mission day payments are processed through Stripe. MSA does not store payment card numbers. Stripe's data handling is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Venn, the scheduling assistant

Venn, the AI scheduling assistant on our site, helps you find available Commander's Briefing times. To confirm a slot, she asks for your email address, which you type into the page rather than say out loud. That address is used only to send your booking confirmation and is processed through Calendly. It is not added to marketing lists without your explicit opt-in.

Cookies and tracking

We use session storage (not persistent cookies) for two things: to pass UTM campaign parameters from your landing page to booking forms, so we can understand which outreach brought you here; and, if you file a flight plan, to remember the name and email you typed so the booking form can fill them in for you instead of asking twice. Both are held in your browser for that visit only and are cleared when you close the tab. This data is not shared with third parties beyond what is described above.

Third-party services we load (Google, Calendly, LinkedIn when ads are running) may set their own cookies. You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting site functionality.

We do not use fingerprinting, cross-site tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising on this site.

LinkedIn advertising

When LinkedIn ad campaigns are active, we load the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which builds a retargeting audience from site visitors. If you are a LinkedIn member, LinkedIn may match your visit to your profile. You can opt out of LinkedIn retargeting in your LinkedIn ad settings.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties except:

  • Service providers named above (Google, Calendly, Tally, Beehiiv, Stripe) who process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies
  • When required by law, court order, or government authority
  • In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will notify affected users

Data retention

Mission audio and transcripts are deleted from MSA equipment after crew performance reports are delivered. Booking and contact inquiry records are retained for up to three years for business purposes. Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected].

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information MSA holds about you. Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days.

Children under 13 (COPPA)

This website is directed at schools and adult decision-makers, not at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. Student data collected during mission engagements on-site is governed by the terms of our school engagement agreement and processed solely for report delivery, as described above.

Security

We use HTTPS for all site traffic. Third-party services we rely on (Stripe, Calendly, Tally) maintain their own security certifications. We apply security headers on this site to reduce exposure to common web vulnerabilities.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
